What are some good dinner recipes?

I am cooking a meal for my parents tonight, but I just want to do something very simple. I was thinking something with pasta. Any ideas?What are some good dinner recipes?
Hi! I tried this recipe the other day when I was in a hurry, this recipe is very easy and taste beautiful:





Chicken Curry Stir-Fry Delight





400 gr chicken (diced)


1 onion (finely chopped)


1 garlic clove (minced)


1 can pineapple (cut in nice pieces)


1 capsicum (cut in nice pieces)


1 ts soy sauce


200 gr sliced mushrooms


1 can coconut milk


1 1/2 - 2 ts curry powder


Serve with rice (optional)





1.Fry the chicken in oil - when cooked take the chicken out of the frying pan.


2. Add garlic to the frying pan and all the other vegetables except the pineapple and cook for 2 minutes.


3. Add the chicken and pineapple and pineapple juice.


4. Stir the coconut milk, curry powder and soy sauce together and pour over the chicken and vegetables, let cook for 3-4 min.

You can do anything with pasta! You can cook it, and add canned tuna, chopped tomatoes, chopped celery, black olives, a little mayo, salt and pepper. Really anything you like and have on hand. You can also boil pasta, add broccoli florets, some garlic or garlic powder and olive oil, salt and pepper. Pasta Carbonara is good. It's basically pasta with bacon and eggs. And if all else fails...breakfast for dinner!
Shrimp in Tomato Sauce over Pasta





Prep Time:15 min


Start to Finish:45 min


makes:4 servings








1 tablespoon olive oil


1 small bunch scallions, chopped (green onions)


2 garlic cloves, minced


1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes


3/4 cup dry white wine or nonalcoholic white wine (you can leave out)


1 tablespoon sugar


3/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley or basil


12 fresh or frozen and thawed jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined


8 ounces spaghetti


1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese





1. Warm oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add scallions and garlic. Cook 10 minutes, or just until scallions begin to turn golden.


2. Add tomatoes, wine, sugar, and 1/2 cup parsley or basil. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 20 to 25 minutes, or until sauce is slightly thickened.


3. Add shrimp and return to a summer. Cook 4 to 5 minutes, or until shrimp are opaque.


4. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and transfer to a large bowl. Add sauce and toss to mix.


5. Sprinkle with Parmesan and remaining 1/4 cup parsley or basil.

makes:6 servings (about 1 1/3 cups each)





1 lb extra-lean (at least 93%) ground beef


1 jar (16 oz) Muir Glen庐 organic mild salsa (mild salsa anykind)


1 cup Muir Glen庐 organic tomato sauce (from 15-oz can) (anykind)


1 1/2 cups water


2 cups uncooked regular or multigrain elbow macaroni


1 cup Green Giant庐 Niblets庐 frozen corn (anykind)


1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat sharp Cheddar cheese (2 oz) (anykind)





1. In 12-inch skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain.


2. Stir in salsa, tomato sauce and water. Heat to boiling. Stir in macaroni and corn. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is tender.


3. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover; let stand 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Take this from a Cuban.





Ground beef,plantains, and white rice.





1.Of course you already know how to make rice.... I am assuming.





2.Ground beef.Quick and easy and I will give you the healthy way of making it besides doing it the old fashion Cuban way which is deadly for you.





a.buy a pack of ground beef and boil it in the microwave for at least 10 to 15 mint ill it is fully cooked.Drain all the water.


b.pour a can of plain tomato sauce in the ground beef, the regular can size.Get half of a big onion and cut it into pieces and pour it in there.after, pour complete seasoning and then pour a spoon of food coloring.After,pour 2 spoons of sugar.


c.after you have poured everything, mix it with a spoon and put it in the microwave between 5 to 7 min





plantains





Do not use oil to fry the plantains, use the spray, I think it is called span or pan or something.





a.you cut 3 fully plantains.


b.once you have sprayed the pan and the pan is hot, put the plantains on the pan and and leave them there for about 2 to 3 min till they are cooked and flip them.





Enjoy.
Penne with grilled chicken, sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Saute garlic in olive oil and butter, add some white wine, reduce by half, add some fresh lemon juice, not much and toss with cooked penne, stir in the sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts, slice grilled chicken on top, add some parmesan cheese.
