OK let's assume that you already have a microwave oven to serve up quick meals however, have you tried pressure cooking? Pressure cooking is a fast, convenient, safe, fun and easy way to prepare a whole host of foods from roasts, to poultry, to stews, soups and chowder and veggies and more. For instance; you can cook an entire corned beef and cabbage dinner with all the veggies for four in about 45 minutes depending upon the size of the corned beef. I recommend purchasing an electric programmable pressure cooker so you don't have to monitor cooking on a stove top and also have it automatically start and stop at the right times. A truly fantastic way to cook and save you 70%-80% cooking times cooking any other way. What Are Some Good And Quick Dinner Recipes Or Ideas?

Fastest Dinner in the West:
Boil water, cook pasta. (I'd use thin spaghetti or vermicelli but you can use any shape) When you drain, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water.
In skillet, fry up some bacon bits. Add garlic, and cook until soft - don't let it burn. Add a cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1/2 cup cream.
Stir over very low heat. Add drained pasta. Crack two eggs, beat into pasta mix. Turn off heat, stir gently to cover pasta with sauce. Add small amount of reserved pasta water to thin sauce as needed. Garnish with fresh chopped Italian parsley. Bon gusto!

I recently picked up a vegan cookbook. I'm in love with it! It was fairly inexpensive and listed soups, dips, stir-fries, casseroles, pasta, ice cream, cheesecake, cakes, backes, and breads. I was also very pleased with the first few pages of the books. It lists ingredients you should watch out for, tips, meal plans, calorie counts, anything and everything you wanted to know. It's called Vegan Recipes by Nicola Graimes. Sorry, that I didn't provide you with any recipes, however if you're looking for a new variety I'd deffinently check this book out! What are some good, healthy vegan dinner recipes?

Chicken Strips (then you can put whatever vegs you like with it!)
I used to fry chicken strips on the top of the stove like most people but I'm basically lazy and the cleanup was no fun. Then I discovered how to do them in the oven...
Ingredients:
Chicken strips (washed)
Bisquick
Spices to taste (garlic powder, paprika, Mrs. Dash and parsley flakes are my preference)
Butter/margarine for cooking
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425-degrees.
In a plastic bag add some Bisquick and the spices (you could use flour but Bisquick is lighter and has added ingredients that seem to make it better).
Shake each chicken strip individually in the coating mixture. Make certain each piece is completely covered.
In a baking dish place a large pat of butter/margarine. Place this dish in the oven to preheat it and completely melt the butter/margarine.
When the butter/margarine and baking dish are heated remove from the oven and place the chicken strips into the dish. Ideally, the dish should be hot enough to start browning the chicken; but I tend to rush it as I get really hungry about this point.
Bake in the oven for seven (7) minutes. Remove and turn the chicken strips over. Bake for another seven (7) minutes.
Remove and serve. The extra butter/margarine makes a nice dressing over most anything you serve with this entree.
It really depends on your budget and tastes. There is www.foodnetwork.com. There are chefs there representing many cuisines.
Then there is the history aspect--Ask your parents and grandparents. My Dad made killer biscuits, Mom bread and Grandmother meatloaf.
And I'm pretty picky when it comes to veggies.

Remove peppers from water, and stuff with mixture. Do not top with caps yet. Pour tomato sauce over peppers. Add ';cap'; and place in a shallow baking dish. teriyaki salmon and brown rice with steamed asain greens and oyster sauce!
My favourite. You can find teriyaki recipes on the internet at about.com i think.
Or seatch for traditional recipes.
Dont use bottled sauces, they are full of artifical colours, falvours and preservatives. Plus it tatses better when you cook it yourself.
Gluten free musli bars eh?
I dont like gluten and these are great, search a recipe for Thai Somboons, they are a rice cake falvooured with melon juice and seasme seeds.
My favourite curry is made with lamb (shoulder is best), but you can use chicken or turkey.
Chop a clove or two of garlic, as many chilli peppers as you want (I usually use 5 or 6 for enough to feed 3 - don't take the seeds out) and one or two onions finely, fry gently with half to 1 tblsp garam masala in ghee (clarified butter) or oil until soft. Add in 2 small or one large eggplant (we call them aubergines), sliced about 1cm or half an inch thick, 2 or 3 sweet peppers, deseeded and cut into chunks, and your diced meat or chicken portions. Cover with just enough stock (or water and a stock cube) so that you can just about push it all under the liquid. Season with salt to taste (you will need more than you expect).
Cover tightly and turn down to a simmer when it boils. If you're serving with brown rice (which I recommend), put this on now in a separate pan, otherwise, carry on cooking for 20 minutes and put your white rice on then. Keep the curry simmering while the rice cooks. Add in 2 or 3 carrots cut in chunks about 10 minutes before you want to serve, so they don't go too soft.
When the rice is cooked, you can either serve the curry like it is or take out the bigger bits and beat in 1-2 tablespoonfuls of rice flour or cornstarch (you need to mix the cornstarch with a bit of water first) over a high heat, then stir until the sauce is thickened. If you have fresh or frozen coriander/cilantro, chop up a good portion and stir in just before serving.
Serve with cucumber raita (cucumber with yogurt) so anyone who finds it too hot can take the sting off.

Im allergic to wheat gluten, so no noodles or bread.Any tips on quick dinner recipes?
How about rice instead--I prefer it over noodles anyway. Brown up some chicken breasts--cook some rice. In a 13x9 pan, put the rice on the bottom, then cooked chicken breasts. Top with cream of mushroom soup(thick) bake long enough to heat it all the way through.Im allergic to wheat gluten, so no noodles or bread.Any tips on quick dinner recipes?
My friend is allergic to wheat gluten too. She eats a lot of salads, chicken and fish. But she also found that she can buy gluten free pasta/pizza/mac%26amp;cheese, etc. You should check out stores in your area to see if there are any that sell gluten free products. She also uses semolina or almond flour for different foods like chicken parmesan since she can't use bread crumbs. You should try that out as well. Hope this helps!Im allergic to wheat gluten, so no noodles or bread.Any tips on quick dinner recipes?
Try the internet. My sister is the same way. She got a listing of all foods, brands and recipes she can enjoy.
She makes her own bread from rice flour and so forth. You might check into amish stores as well for gluten free food and flour.
:)
I bet you can find some type of pasta that has no wheat gluten. It would probably be like tofu or soy or something, so make a very nice sauce with it. Pretty much Ragu with herbs like oregano, garlic powder, chives, and parsley. Also adda splash of olive oil and let it bubble for a little while to get rid of some of the water. The oil will help keep the sauce moist and also thicken it slightly.
I wish i could help you more but without going next door to my neighbor, who is a celiac ,I'm afraid i can only tell you what he does. He buys special bread on prescription (from the docs) he gets gluten free products from Lidles,Sainsburys and Asda, i know these include special pizza bases ,,all kinds of ingredients for curries . lots of cakes ,biscuits and of course you can add vegetables to meats to make dishes quickly.
If you havnt allready tried gluten free bread ,then do
I make a great zucchini lasagne. Simply thinly slice the zucchini lengthwise and par cook in the microwave or oven until limp but not fully done. Layer these slices as you would lasagne noodles with a mixture of ricotta or cottage cheese, a beaten egg, grated parm. and mozzerella cheeses, pinch of salt, pepper and parsely, in an oiled caserole dish with your favorite homemade or jarred marinara sauce on bottom and top. Add lots of extra mozzerella on top and bake uncovered @ 350 for about 30 mins., until bubbly and slightly brown on top. Salad on side, it's a meal.
I have celiac, and it's much more than just avoiding wheat, noodles and bread. Many processed foods contain ';modified food starch'; and ';caramel coloring';, which is often made from wheat. I read labels, and prepare most things from scratch. But that doesn't mean you have to deprive yourself. You can still have just about anything else. Some quick meal ideas would be grilled, baked, poached or pan sauteed fish, meat or chicken. If you want to make a gravy, just use cornstarch or potato starch instead of flour to thicken. A good basmati or jasmine rice beats pasta anyday. And as long as you don't fry them in batter, any veg is also a-okay. It was a pain in the neck in the beginning, and I did really crave bread...but I promise you it gets easier, until it becomes 2nd nature. Check out your local health food store for the gluten free section. There are good crackers and pretzels, and even tortillas made with brown rice for decent wraps or quesadillas. It's harder to find bread that doesn't taste and feel like sandpaper. Ener-G Tapioca bread is the best I've found so far...not outstanding, but makes a decent sandwich when toasted. Hope this helps!

I, too, have celiac, and I still rely on the tried and true - throw something on the grill (fish, meat or veg), make a nice green salad with home-made vinagrette, and bake a spud (top with butter and fresh snipped herbs). You'd have that kind of meal in a restaurant and be darned happy. I also buy some of Amy's gluten free frozen entrees, and for my ';bread'; fix I go to Whole Foods becuase their corporate bakery chef in NC is also celiac and their line of gluten free items (minus the hamburger rolls, which frankly are heavy and dreadful) are quite good. Also try Gillian's French Rolls (frozen) - very delicate and flavorful.
www.outback.com online order off the gluten free menu!! P.S. Outback steakhouse even carries a gluten free beer!! Some celiacs have never been able to taste a beer, be we carry the gluten free menus and beer and prepare all gluten free orders in a ';sterile'; environment. U should check us out!
Have you ever tried zucchini ribbon? Just use a veg. peeler to make long, thin strips of fresh zucchini or summer squash. Saute them up in a bit in EVOO or butter S%26amp;P. Yum! Add a sauce if you want.

Do you have any healthy lunch/dinner recipes you would like to share?
I'm trying to change the way I eat. I never cook, I always eat out. Do you have any tasty/relatively healthy recipes you could give me? Thanks.Do you have any healthy lunch/dinner recipes you would like to share?
Anything baked, rather than fried is always healthier. Alot of meals that my family makes are baked in the oven and none of us are overweight so they can't be bad for you! The only thing you might want to watch is the amount of butter you stick in some of the recipes:
Baked BBQ Chicken/Baked BBQ Pork Chops
1. Take a baking dish and spray with cooking spray. Put about an inch of water in the bottom of the dish.
2. Take the meat of your choosing and season it with salt/pepper.
3. Lay down in the dish and cover with bbq sauce.
4. Throw some diced onion over top for additional flavor.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour depending on the thickness of your meat.
Breaded Pork Chops
1. Take a baking dish and spray with cooking spray. Put a small amount of water in the bottom of the dish.
2. Take your pork chops and put them in an egg wash.
3. Transfer them to seasoned bread crumbs and lay in baking dish.
4. Cook at 350 degrees for at least an hour.
Baked Sausage w/ potatoes OR Bake Ham w/ potatoes
1. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and put a small amount of water in the bottom of the dish.
2. Take the meat of your choosing and lay in the center of the dish.
3. Thinly slice some potatoes and spread around the meat.
4. Season the entire dish with oregano, parsley flakes, and Creole seasoning.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour.
Smothered Hamburgers
1. Pan fry or grill some juicy burgers until they are cooked to your liking.
2. Toss them in a frying pan with one or two cans of vegetable soup and heat until warm.
This soupy mess is delicious!
Cheesy Ramon Noodles
1. Cook a package of ramon noodles and stir in some fresh cheese!
2. Let it melt together and add a little butter. It makes them super creamy!
Oven Roasted Garlic Potatoes
1. Cube some potatoes and lay them in a greased baking dish with a small layer of water.
2. Season with your favorite seasonings (oregano, parsley, etc)
3. Cook at 350 until potatoes are tender (about 1.5 鈥?2 hrs)
Fruit and Yogurt Parfait
1. Gather some fresh fruit that is in season and some plain yogurt.
2. Alternately layer the fresh fruit with some yogurt in small cups.
3. Serve to your guests!
NOTE: Nothing is easier than this recipe!Do you have any healthy lunch/dinner recipes you would like to share?
My favourite dinner that is super healthy but tastes like fast food is :
Grill a chicken breast on the BBQ with adding a squeeze of some lemon and cayenne pepper , put this in a WHOLE WHEAT pita with tomato slices , red onion slices , some mustard and spinach ( lettuce is fine but spinach is always better ) , and the yummiest oven baked healthy fries are : for one person get 1 sweet potato cut it into wedges or fries and place on a baking sheet , drizzle with extra virgin olive oil ( VERY LITTLE ) and a generous generous amount of cinnamon , bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees and these yummy fries come out sweet golden and crunchy to go along with your chicken burger fakeout thats super healthy :)

Oh, you're 26, what a relief! I thought for one awful moment you meant the school dinners I had.
I used to like cheese pie, sorry no recipe, but let me share this with you.
The mashed potatoes at school were so awful, how anyone could get potatoes to taste like that is beyond me, but even worse, they had grey lumps in them. If you got a lump, boy were you unhappy.
My mother used to make the best mashed potatoes in the world. My husband's mashed potatoes are so good even my mother used to ask him to make them when we went to her house.
In spite of this, TO THIS DAY, I cannot eat mashed potatoes without mashing every mouthful with my fork, and I cannot put a forkful of mashed potato in my mouth without there being some meat or veg on the fork as well. This is in spite of being served the best mash in the world ever. Those school dinners were about 40 years ago!
good luck in your search, but remember, no lumpy grey mashed potatoes!

I need some good simple dinner recipes!?
I work from 9-5 and then I have to be back to work at 6:30. I have to feed my family of 4 in less than an hour and a half. I need some recipes that are simple but tast great! Crock pot stuff would be great too, I dont have very many crock pot recipes, but if I could get some I could through that in it the morning and it would be done by dinner time.I need some good simple dinner recipes!?
My quick simple tastey stand by is always a Zesty chicken cordon bleu........
4 chicken breasts (i use chicken tenders when short on time)
1 cup of your favorite Italian dressing
8 thin slices of deli ham
4 thin slices of swiss cheese
Cook chicken until juices run clear, pour italian dressing over the top and cook another minute on each side. Divide ham and swiss over each piece of chicken. Cover until cheese melts.
I like to spoon the leftover dressing from the pan over the top of the chicken.
I usually make Chedar/broccoli rice on the side (just oen of those packets with all the seasonings inside) and maybe a dinner roll.
I have very picky kids and they eat it every time with out complaints.I need some good simple dinner recipes!?

Taco Salad is very fast I browned the burger while chopping lettuce and tomato before I knew it we were eating.
Chicken Stuffing Bake
two cans of chicken breast drained(or fresh boiled and shredded if you have the time)
2 boxes of stove top stuffing
2 cans campbells chicken gravy
in a 13x9 baking dish
lay down the chicken prepare the stuffing and lay over the chicken, pour gravy over top and bake till heated through (350 degrees) you could even add a layer of mashed potatoes to the bottom if you like, my son doesnt like potatoes tho.
Fry boneless, skinless chicken (cut into bite size pieces) in Garlic, onion and soya sauce untill their cooked (takes around 20min) U can prepare these stuff before u leave for work in the morning, keep them in the fridge. Brown the onion and then put garlic in and then the chicken.
Serve over rice or noodles.
beans with bacon cook all day or even start the night before
Hormel, Armour, Tyson and other brands have packages of PRE-COOKED beef tips, roast, pot roast, pork roast, chicken, ham, meatload. Most all come with gravy. They are very good and I serve them often. Use this for your meat dish and add vegetables, rice, or potatoes and gravy. You will find these packages near the meat section, they are not frozen.
Tyson's fully cooked whole chickens are delicious. I serve them often with S%26amp;W canned sweet potatoes, Stove-Top dressing, microwave chicken/turkey gravy, a vegetable, cranberry sauce, and Pillsbury Microwave Biscuits which are better than I can make. A frozen pie defrosted and fully cooked. Perfect for one or two people at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

i have a full time job, and a family of 3 to feed as well. what i do is, either on saturday or sunday, i cook meals for the entire week, %26amp; freeze them.
Before i go to work in the morning, i take whatever i want out of the freezer and let it defrost while im at work. By the time i get home, it's defrosted and ready to just be heated through..
i usually do the 1 pot/pan meals like: lasagna, chicken noodle soup(freezes well), meatloaf, chiken parm., etc.. if i want an easy meal i just do soup %26amp; sandwiches..
hope that helped
My favorite simple recipe is hamburger casserole.
Brown 2lbs of ground beef in a skillet. Spread into the bottom of 9x13'; baking dish. Pour a can of beef gravy on top and a can of mixed veggies. Make one envelope of Betty Crocker Creamy mashed potatoes according to box directions and spread on top. Bake at 350 for 1hr.
This is one of the rare dishes that tastes even better as leftovers.
Throw a Round Roast (the kind that comes wrapped in the string) or a Pork Roast in the crockpot with 1/4c water to cook all day on low. You don't even have to season it. When you get home, pour out the remaining water . It should be tender enough to quickly shred with a fork inside the crockpot. Now add your favorite BBQ sauce to the meat and mix up well. Serve on Buns with pickles and onion or whatever you like. Absolutely Fast %26amp; Fabulous!!!!
Put sauerkraut and thawed pork chops in the crock pot (with the kraut covering the pork). Turn it on low right before you leave in the morning, and it should be ready when you come home at 5. I usually do something similar with hotdogs and kielbassa (but put those in at lunchtime so that they don't get soggy).

2 TBS fresh minced ginger
2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts cut into bite size pieces
1 陆 cups sliced fresh shiitake mushrooms
4 cups chopped bok choy
2 TBS soy sauce
1 TBS rice vinegar
salt and white pepper to taste
pinch of red pepper flakes
Directions:
Healthy stir fry scallion in a stainless steel wok or saut茅 pan for 2 minutes and add ginger. Continue to stir fry for another minute and add chicken stirring constantly.
After about 2-3 minutes, add shiitake mushrooms and bok choy. Continue to stir fry for another 3-4 minutes and add soy sauce, rice vinegar, salt and pepper. Serves 4.What are good healthy low calorie lunch and dinner recipes?
Spinach Salad
8 ounces young spinach
2 large eggs
8 pieces thick-sliced bacon, chopped
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Ingredients Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 large white mushrooms, sliced
3 ounces red onion (1 small), very thinly sliced
Directions Spinach
Remove the stems from the spinach and wash, drain and pat dry thoroughly. Place into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
Place the eggs into an electric kettle and cover with cold water by at least 1-inch. Turn the kettle on. Once the water comes to a boil, the kettle will turn itself off. Leave the eggs in the water for 15 minutes. Remove and peel off the shell. Slice each egg into 8 pieces and set aside.
While the eggs are cooking, fry the bacon and remove to a paper towel to drain, reserving 3 tablespoons of the rendered fat. Crumble the bacon and set aside.
Transfer the fat to a small saucepan set over low heat and whisk in the red wine vinegar, sugar and Dijon mustard. Season with a small pinch each of kosher salt and black pepper.
Add the mushrooms and the sliced onion to the spinach and toss. Add the dressing and bacon and toss to combine. Divide the spinach between 4 plates or bowls and evenly divide the egg among them. Season with pepper and serve immediately.
My favorite is Tomato/Basil salad - you can eat it plain or put it in a pita with some hummus
Tomato/Basil Salad:
1/4 cup vegetable oil or olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
dash of salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 large tomatoes, chopped into bite sized pieces
1 medium size sweet onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (or you can buy a tube of basil paste and use that)
Hummus (or you can buy it in the store if you don't want to make it)
1 16 oz can of chickpeas or garbanzo beans
1/4 cup liquid from can of chickpeas
3-5 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste)
1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
Another good recipe is honey mustard chicken.
All you do is mix mustard and honey in a bowl until you find the right taste for you. I like to use regular yellow mustard AND a mustard with the mustard seeds in it. Then add a dash of pepper. Coat chicken breasts in it and cook at 350F for 30 minutes. Take the chicken out and cut it to see if they are done. If the chicken is pink then cook it longer - if it is white it's done. After you take it out of the oven, coat it again with the honey mustard sauce. You can pair it with a salad or a baked potato or the tomato basil salad!

Your imagination! no one knows your son better than you do! Make meat loaf, make the mashed potatos into mountains...Make Shepard's pie ( meat, veg and potatoe) and tell him it is an English dish. When my kids were about 6 or 7 years old, I began telling them that: '; Well when you grow up, you will like a lot of different things. That is part of being a grown up. I like foods from ALL over the world, and so will you.'; ( Yes, its brainwashing, but it also gives your son permission to know his palette will change as he gets older, and YOU the ';cool'; role model, already like foods from all over the world.'; As far as recipes , try www.foodnetwork.com. Take out any ';weird'; ingredients, and try: Chinese chicken chow mein, middle eastern meat kabobs with vegetables, South American Beef Stew....Let your son ';feel'; like he is experiencing the world while you gently integrate him into more ';exotic'; flavors. 4. CATALINA CHICKEN
Printed from COOKS.COM:
1 whole chicken, cut into serving pieces or 4-6 lg. breasts
1 onion, sliced
1 bottle Catalina salad dressing (not French)
Dash of garlic salt
Dash of pepper
Greased baking dish (Pam works well, as well as shortening)
Wash and clean chicken thoroughly. Sprinkle garlic salt and pepper on each piece of chicken, both sides. Lay chicken pieces bottom side up on greased baking dish in single layer. Layer onions on top chicken. Pour Catalina dressing over the onions and chicken to thoroughly cover both.
Cover baking dish with foil and bake for about 30 minutes. Baste, and turn chicken pieces over, skin side up, and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Baste again and bake for an additional 15 minutes uncovered, just to brown the chicken. You may need to add water between baking times, depending on how hot your oven gets, so that the dressing does not evaporated. The chicken has its own juices, so just remember to keep all pieces immersed in the sauce. Serves 4.
This works great also in the crock pot. Follow directions above, except add 1/4 cup of water along with the dressing (do not use French dressing).
This recipe is good using chicken wings only.

Cook’s Tips: We’ve chosen penne for this recipe, which are straight tubes of macaroni that are cut on the diagonal. Other sturdy shapes such as mostaccioli (short tubes), ziti (curved tubes) or rotini (spirals) can be used in this recipe. Perfectly cooked pasta should be al dente—tender but still firm to the bite. Test pasta for doneness before the time stated on the package. Get a head start on tomorrow’s dinner by cooking extra pasta. Drain the pasta thoroughly, then toss it with 1 teaspoon of oil to prevent the pasta from sticking together. Place in an airtight container or resealable plastic food storage bag and refrigerate up to 3 days. Use it in salads or soups, or toss it with your favorite sauce. Italian seasoning can be substituted for the Italian Seasoning Mix, if desired.Looking for easy fast healthy dinner recipes?

Do you know of any dinner recipes with 4 ingredients or less - on budget?
I don't think I can make cream of mushroom, chicken and rice or beef and noodles with tomato sauce for myself again. Please send any suggestions for easy dinner recipes that aren't going to cost me any arm and a leg. Would prefer for them to be as healthy as possible... but budget is more important these days.
Appreciate anything :) Thanks.Do you know of any dinner recipes with 4 ingredients or less - on budget?

Frozen mixed vegges give you more of a variety.
I have suggested more than 4 but I wanted to get across several ideas to think over.
Apart from the squash, I have all of the others in the house all of the time.

On a budget-
I understand myself.
The best thing on a budget is to buy lots of different veggies and some whole grains.
I like to boil eggplant with some salt and when it has cooked down place in some cheap spaghetti sauce and spices then have over spaghetti. Very good.
Or my personal fave is buy meat like cheap but nice sausage, boil it with pasta, throw in different veg like broccoli, zucchini and onion, can of olives (splurging) all together then drain and mix in either olive oil and lots of spices or again cheap sauce place in a pan, grate cheese over then bake til cheese melts- it usually lasts a me two -three days.
Or my even cheaper meal-
spaghetti, sweet corn, olives and sauce of any kind with some chili
otherwise-
buy some cheap trader joes curry or punjab or satay sauce then steam or boil veg and add sauce after-
Good Luck :)
1. Cooking oil / pasta (any shape but spaghetti) / cherry tomatoes / mozerella cheese.
Cook the pasta, then fry it in a seperate pan with the tomatoes and mozeralla mixed in.
2. Ground turkey/chicken + feta cheese
Mix cheese w/ meat, form burger shapes, cook.
3. Breaded shrimp or vegetables. Works very well with slices of zucchini or squash.
Shrimp or veggies + Panco breading (requires eggs, flour, and something to fry it all in). Follow directions on the Panco package, I think. (uncooked shrimp or veggies coated in egg + flour + crumbs, then cooked)
That's easy
1.Beans, rice, and a side corn.gives you Protein and some carbs so survive.
2.Peanut butter and jelly
3.Eggs with sausage
4.buy a sack of potatoes, they are cheap. You can make all kinds of stuff with that.
5.Ramen noodles and scrap vegatable that you may have in the fridge
The food probably sounds very bland BUT. Seasoning can make all the difference! They are not that expensive go to a 99 cent store and grab whatever you can..play with them and spice up your dishes
What you can do is cook a big pot of beans on Sunday and then combo that throughout the week with whatever is available, try to include corn as the combination is a good source of protein.
If you really can't even buy food. (i've been there and I'll admit I've dumpster dived) go to a grocery store or a place that sells fruit and head to the dumpster they throw away perfectly good food trust me.
hope this helps
Water
try porcupines, all you need is hamburger, onions, 1 egg, some bell peppers (if u like),un cooked rice and tomato sauce.
chop the onion and peppers up, put it in a bowl and add the un cooked rice.
add the egg to the hamburger so when you make the meatballs the hamburger won't fall apart.
make up the meatballs, then roll the meatballs in the onion, peppers and rice mixture. fry the meatballs in a pot (not too much just let them brown) drain them to remove the grease and pour in the tomato sauce simmer until the rice is tender.
there you go something quick and delish. cheap too!
soory i dont know any dinner recipes but i know a REALLY good dessert recipe Unpeel a banana and wrap it in clear wrap. Then, put the banana in the freezer for 2 hours. Next, take out the banana and un wrap and cut it up. Then, put the banana in a bowl and add your favorite nuts.
Next, pour honey over it and enjoy!
I've done this on a shoestring budget:
cook some angel hair pasta.
In a saute pan, heat some olive oil. add a couple cloves of chopped garlic, and some italian seasoning. Add some chopped up cooked chicken.
Put the angel hair pasta into the sauce, and stir to incorporate all of the flavors.
put in a bowl and top with a little salt and pepper.
I hope that you like this idea.

Any one got some nice dinner recipes , or desert recipes?
Here are a few of my favorite things to cook. I hope you will try some of them out! Have a Blessed day! :)
Cajun Chicken Pasta
4 ounces linguine
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
2 teaspoons cajun seasoning (or to taste)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup chopped green bell peppers
1/4 cup chopped red bell peppers
4 ounces sliced mushrooms
1 thinly sliced green onion (1 to 2)
1 cup heavy cream (1 to 2 cups)
1/4 teaspoon salt

In a large pot with boiling salted water cook pasta until al dente; drain.
While the pasta is cooking, place chicken and Cajun seasoning in a bowl and toss to coat.
In a large skillet over medium heat saute chicken in butter until chicken is tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Add green and red bell peppers, sliced mushrooms and onions, and cook for 2-3 minutes .
Reduce heat; add heavy cream, basil, lemon pepper, salt, garlic powder and pepper and heat through.
In a large bowl toss linguini with sauce.
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
***P.S. I leave out the mushroom because I don't like them, but if you do, add them in and I am sure it will be just as delish.
Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps
These are a Paula Deen recipe. They are a great appetizer, but my hubby and I like to eat them for dinner. They are out of this world good!
1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (about 4 breasts)
1 (1-pound) package sliced bacon
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. Cut each bacon slice into thirds. Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick. Stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture. Coat a rack and broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken wrap on rack in broiler pan. Bake 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until bacon is crisp
Bacon Cheeseburger Roll-Up
I got this one off of the Velveeta website. It is so good and so easy!!! Yum!
1 lb. lean ground beef
4 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, chopped
1/2 cup chopped onions (about 1 small)
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) VELVEETA Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 pkg. (13.8 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust
PREHEAT oven to 400°F. Cook ground beef, bacon and onions in large skillet on medium-high heat until ground beef is evenly browned, stirring occasionally. Drain; return meat mixture to skillet. Add VELVEETA; cook until completely melted, stirring frequently. Cool 10 min.
UNROLL pizza dough onto baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Press into 15x8-inch rectangle. Top evenly with meat mixture. Roll up dough, starting at one of the long sides. Rearrange, if necessary, so roll is seam-side down on baking sheet.
BAKE 20 to 25 min. or until golden brown. Cut diagonally into six slices to serve.
Creamy Mexican Chicken Pasta
3 cups bow tie pasta, uncooked
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1-1/4 lb.), cut into strips
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) VELVEETA Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut up
1 can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
1/4 cup milk
COOK pasta in large saucepan as directed on package; drain. Return to saucepan.
SPRAY large skillet with cooking spray. Add chicken; cook and stir 4 to 5 minutes or until cooked through.
ADD to pasta in saucepan along with the remaining ingredients; cook on low heat until VELVEETA is melted, stirring occasionally.
**This is another one from the Velveeta website. It is so good and easy. I like to use Hot salsa to spice it up; but you could use whatever you preferred!
Strawberry Pie
I like to use a graham cracker pie crust for this one.
1 pie crust, pre-baked
1 pint ripe strawberries
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup hot water
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup sugar
whipped cream
Pre-bake pie crust.
Cool.
Slice the strawberries into the pie crust.
In a medium saucepan mix the package of jello with the cornstarch.
Add the water and the sugar.
Cook over medium heat until boiling.
Stir occasionally.
Pour the boiling mixture over the strawberries.
Place the pie in the refrigerator.
Chill for 3-4 hours until the jello glaze sets.
Serve with big dollops of whipped cream over the pie
Brown Sugar Chewies
This is another one from Paula Deen. They are so good and simple. They don't really cost a lot to make either!
1/4 cup butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Sometimes it isn't simply the main dish that makes a dinner NICE, it is the extra thought that is nice. Like Chicken Parm. simply to make and a basic idea, but when you end up with a full italian dinner with a few new extras that is nice. Chicken parm. you can either buy prebreaded chicken breasts or make them. Boneless skinless clean them up coat in seasoned flour, egg/milk mixture, then in bread crumbs, pan fry until browned. drain on paper towel. Bake 5-10 min, then add 2-3 Tablespoons of your spag. sauce and mozz. cheese bake until cheese is melted. Spag, garlic bread, regular dinner. But I like to do a big Italian salad and make it your center piece. Use a big plater instead of a bowl. And lay everything out in sections instead of tossing it. A couple types of lettce (raddichio) use some salami in small chucks, provalone or some more mozz. Find some marintated mushroom, artichoke hearts, olives etc. You could even dress it first and dont offer a choice of dressings. Or have Olive oil and couple different types of flavored vinegar. I hope I was helpful. Good luck and EnJOY!Any one got some nice dinner recipes , or desert recipes?

Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps
These are a Paula Deen recipe. They are a great appetizer, but my hubby and I like to eat them for dinner. They are out of this world good!

I like to use a graham cracker pie crust for this one.
1 pie crust, pre-baked
1 pint ripe strawberries

Stir occasionally.
Pour the boiling mixture over the strawberries.
Place the pie in the refrigerator.
Chill for 3-4 hours until the jello glaze sets.
Serve with big dollops of whipped cream over the pie

1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped pecans
