I am tired of making the same basic stuff like spaghetti and hamburger helper. Would like to make some different things for dinner but have 4 pretty picky kids. Anyone got some good recipes or meal ideas your kids love?Does anyone have any great picky kid friendly dinner recipes?
Well mine are some what picky too, most kids usually are to some extent. They love taco night, chili and pizza night. I usually buy several cheese pizzas and let them put what ever topping they want on there. For example one of my kids loves pepperoni and ex. cheese. My other one loves, canadian bacon with black olives. And that way they are in the kitchen with you helping out. They love that. I also serve carrot sticks with ranch dressing on the side.Does anyone have any great picky kid friendly dinner recipes?
Basically make anything you want but have them help cook it. Anything they help make they will want to at least try. Pita pizzas are good and easy for them to make. Buy some pita bread, cheese, sauce and a bunch of toppings. You could make your own too. Spinach, olive oil, and feta mmmmmm. My son is 2 he loves coconut breaded chicken strips. The trick is to offer them healthy options and then include them in preparation. Just stop buying the hamburger helper. That stuff is loaded with sodium. Once that stuff isn't around you won't be making it and they'll have to eat something else. You could just put your foot down and say ';this is what we are having for dinner if you don't like it don't eat.'; It might be hard in the beginning but after a few days they won't be as picky. Quit giving in to their pickiness. You are setting yourself up for spoiled unhealthy kids.

Open them up to different proteins like chicken or fish. Once that happens, the sides change and new possibilities happen. I agree with starting to put your foot down. There were a couple of night's I went hungry because I was picky.
