Dinner recipes?

I'm 14, but I love to cook, except I'm really picky with what my mom makes, so I usually don't eat much of it. Anybody have any new recipes I can make for dinner? Like pasta recipes, anything really. =] Just not too many vegetables.Dinner recipes?
I do. Its just regular pasta. Shrimp with lots of olive oil, and some garlic with spicy seasoning.

Cook the pasta separate, and the in a sauce pan put olive oil and garlic and let that get hot. After that put all of the shrimp in, and then the spices and just let it sit, and then mix it all together after. If you don't like shrimp do it with chicken.Dinner recipes?
Baked Macaroni Casserole

Timballo di Mezzi Ziti

SERVES 6 - 8

Pugliesi love their baked macaroni casseroles (timballi) and this one is no exception. There are many versions of the dish from this region. It is standard fare for Christmas or other special occasions. Mezzi ziti are a long, hollow type of dried pasta that needs to be broken in half before cooking. If they are unavailable use bucatini, a thick, hollow spaghetti. This recipe is usually made in some type of terra cotta dish but any heavy-duty casserole dish will work.

PORK SAUSAGE RAGU SAUCE

1 tablespoon Colavita鈩?Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

1 medium onion, minced

1/2 pound ground pork sausage

6 cups canned plum tomatoes, pureed

1/2 cup red wine

Salt and pepper to taste

6 or 7 fresh basil leaves

Heat the olive oil in a 2-quart saucepan; stir in the onion and cook until it is slightly brown. Stir in the sausage and cook until it is browned. Combine the tomatoes with the wine and stir into sausage. Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Stir in the basil. Set aside.

FOR THE MEATBALLS

1/4 pound ground beef

1/4 pound ground pork

2 ounces grated Pecorino cheese

1/4 cup soft bread crumbs

2 tablespoons minced flat leaf parsley

1 teaspoon minced garlic

2 eggs

Colavita鈩?Extra-Virgin Olive Oil for frying

1 pound buffalo mozzarella cheese, cut into bits (Or use fior di latte mozzarella.)

1 pound mezzi ziti or bucatini, broken into thirds

Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs together in a bowl except the olive oil, mozzarella cheese, and mezzi ziti.

With your hands, make tiny meatballs the size of marbles. Pour a thin layer of olive oil in a saut茅 pan and fry the meatballs in batches. Or bake the meatballs on a lightly oiled baking sheet in a preheated 350F oven for 12 minutes.

Transfer the meatballs to a large bowl and mix them with 1 cup of the ragu sauce. Set aside.

Cook the mezzi ziti according to the package directions. They should remain just a bit firmer because they will finish cooking in the oven. Drain them and transfer them to a bowl. Toss them with 1 cup of the sauce and set aside.

Preheat the oven to 375F.

Spread a thin layer of the ragu sauce in a heavy-duty ovenware dish. Spread 1/3 of the mezzi ziti over the sauce. Make a second layer with half of the meatballs mixed with half of the cheese. Spread 1 cup of the sauce over the top of the cheese. Repeat with another layer of 1/3 of the ziti and the other half of the meatballs and cheese. Spread the remaining mezzi ziti over the last layer and top with the rest of the sauce.

Bake covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake 5 minutes longer. The top should be very crispy.

Rigatoni with Capri Sauce

Rigatoni con Salsa Caprese

SERVES 6 TO 8

Rigatoni teams with this easy sauce I call salsa caprese because it uses the very ingredients that make up the more popular insalata caprese, a salad of fresh creamy mozzarella cheese, pungent and peppery basil leaves, and fresh plum tomatoes popular on the isle of Capri. In a pinch, canned plum tomatoes can be used.

3 tablespoons Colavita鈩?Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

1 medium-size onion, diced

1 large clove garlic, minced

4 cups diced plum tomatoes

2 teaspoons fine sea salt

Grinding of fresh black pepper

1/3 cup dry red wine

2 tablespoons sugar

陆 cup fresh basil leaves, shredded

1 pound Colavita鈩?rigatoni

One 8-ounce ball fresh mozzarella cheese, diced

1 cup finely chopped well-drained cooked spinach

Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a 4-quart saucepan. Cook the onion, stirring, until it becomes soft, then add the garlic and cook, stirring, until the garlic is soft but still white. Stir in the tomatoes, salt, pepper, wine, and sugar. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and cook the sauce for 20 minutes. The sauce should still be loose, but not thin. Stir in the basil leaves. Set the sauce aside and keep warm.

Meanwhile, cook the rigatoni according to the instructions on page 29. When al dente, drain the rigatoni, reserving 2 tablespoons of the cooking water. Return the rigatoni to the pot and, over low heat, stir in the reserved water, 1 cup of the tomato sauce, the cheese, and spinach. Stir until the cheese melts.

Transfer the mixture to a shallow platter. Serve at once, passing additional sauce on the side. Save the remaining tomato sauce for other uses such as on pizza or in stews. Or freeze it for future use.
