You can make a nice salad with rotisserie chicken from the market. Get a bag of prewashed greens (12 oz to 16 oz bag), shredded carrots, broccoli florets (which you can further tear apart into bite size pieces), a can of beans (any kind, just rinse before you use), a bag of trail mix, shredded cheese (Parmesan is always good). Place greens in a large salad bowl, throw in the shredded carrots, the broccoli florets, 1/2 a can of beans, a 1/3 cup of trail mix. Add dressing right before serving. Toss the salad and the dressing, place a good serving onto a plate, shred some of the rotisserie chicken onto the top of the salad.
Get an angel food cake, instant pudding mix-vanilla, and strawberries. Make the pudding as directed. In a parfait bowl or something similar, cut the cake into cubes and put a layer (about half of the cake) down on the bowl, place half of pudding on top of the cake, then put the strawberries on the next layer. Add another layer of cubed cake, then the pudding and the rest of the strawberries. Lastly top with Cool Whip if you like.

I wish you had given your age. To play it safe, you can get microwave prepared meats, potatoes and vegetables. There is a large variety of meat, like fried chicken, meat loaf, take a look in the frozen foods section. The frozen vegetables can be cooked in the microwave as well and now they have mashed potatoes, stuffed baked potatoes, french fries, country fries. There you have a meal and prepared by you :) Every thing has easy to follow directions, you have no danger of using the cook stove, and best of all, less dishes to wash up later. Now for desert... Just go to the frozen foods section in your grocery store again in the desert section, there are plenty of cakes, pies, all kinds of goodies that are already cooked all you have to do is let them thaw. All of this pertains to a young one who has very little if any experience in the kitchen. Now, if you are older and can make your way through a simple meal, You could throw a Stew together. Here is a good recipe:
2 pounds of cut stew beef (found in the meat section at your grocery store)
4 Cups boiling water
1 package of frozen vegetables for Stew (found in the frozen foods section under ';Vegetables';)
2 medium potatoes cubed
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 medium onion, sliced
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Dash allspice or cloves
Thoroughly flour and brown meat on all sides in hot fat; add water, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, sliced onion, and seasonings. Cover, simmer 2 hours; stir occasionally to keep from sticking. Remove garlic. Add frozen vegetables and cubed potatoes. Cover; continue cooking 30 minutes or till vegetables and potatoes are done, Remove meat and vegetables and potatoes; thicken liquid for gravy. ( I use Corn Starch) approximately 1 - 2 tablespoons until slightly thick. Replace the vegetables and potatoes into gravy and stir. This will make 6 - 8 servings.
Desert:
Instant pudding is very simple, the directions are on the side of the box. You can add whipped cream on top after the pudding has set.
Good luck and have fun :)
In the freezer section Stouffer's has a good meatlof. It is even good microwaved. Get Bob Evans mashed potatoes that are microwaved and a box of Green Giant frozen corn that is microwaved or Stouffer's also makes a frozen meal that is one dish with noodles, brocolli, white chicken chunks in a cheese sauce and it has some kind of crumb topping on it. I don't remember exactly what they call it but it is also in the freezer section and is really good microwaved. It's one dish then you could bake biscuits or crescent rolls to go with it or a salad that you can buy in a bag. Easy and delicious!!!
For desert go to foodnetwork.com and search Pineaple Upside-down biscuits by Paula Deen. They are so easy and so good!!! OR try these...I made these last night and you would not believe how good they are especially when you see how simple to make

or oatmeal with Berries is pretty just need oatmeal, water or milk, Berries and a microwave.
Hamburgers are good. Like playdough, you can let them mix the ingredients and shape them however they want or even use big cookie cutters. I'd recommend they wear gloves.
Casseroles are okay. They just need to get the ingredients together and most of them can be chopped pretty big as long as all the veg are the same size. you don't need too sharp a knife or use pre chopped frozen veg. Let them put it in the oven with the rack you've pulled out and then you can let them take it out.
Sandwiches, paninis or pressed sandwiches can be fun for them.
Parfaits or trifles for desert. Fondue. Sundaes
tacos, and for dessert strawberry shortcake~ yummy
Chicken Pie (Lazy Man Version)
Buy 1 kg at the Supermarket Deli bar Shredded Chicken
Slice a large onion into rings or crescents and soften in oil in a fry pan.
Sift over some plain white flour and stir over med/low heat for a couple of minutes and stir in some milk until you have a fairly thick sauce.
Add shredded chicken and combine. Turn off heat and let the sauce cool and the chicken warm.
In the mean time line a greased pie dish with a sheet of puff pastry.
Once the chicken mix has cooled 2/3 rds fill the pie dish.
Cover with another piece of pastry trim edges and brush with milk. Spear the top with the tip of a knife to create steam vent.
Place in a preheated oven 160C for 30-40 minutes until the tops are browned nicely.
Remove and place on a wire rack to cool.
A teaspoon of curry powder added with the flour would be great.
Have this with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
